You know how sometimes it's like you share somethings with your friends and then they start giving you comments, or share their stories with you in return?
it's all parts and puzzles of what friends are for isn't it? I mean it's only natural for them to speak on top of lending you their listening ears.
The only problem is.. they may not exactly know what is it that you need to hear. For example, I may think that what you've done is not right and thus I should tell you what is the RIGHT thing to do.. despite the fact that we all know when it comes to matters of the heart, no one can be fully sure of what is right or wrong.
Alternatively, I may think what you are thinking is not right, but I make minimal comments, choosing to listen most of the times, or just being by your side.
The question then is, which is better? to just listen and not comment that you may be making a grave mistake? (not that it WILL be a mistake) OR, to do what everyone calls knocking-some-sense-into-your-good-friend?
This has been inside of me for quite some time now.. I've been struggling between 'scolding the shite outta you', and 'let things be the way they are'.. until one day, when I realised I've somewhat been through a similar situation..
and this is the day I realised what you need is not any more opposition, but the strength to stick to your ideals.
It's funny isn't it? even when I've said I did put myself into your shoes, I may not have fully done so. Putting myself in your shoes mean basing on my character, what I'd have done if the same thing happends to me. I feel what is more important is actually to be thinking what YOU and only YOU could have done?
and so when I see your point, everything comes so naturally and easily..
or perhaps I should say, I believe I've somewhat been through it and during that time, I was so upset being told what I should do or if I did this or did not do that, then i'm the bad person and i shall be condemned and stuff like that.. so all the more i can understand..
i was busy searching for a decent black n white dress for this bizad dnd.. and jasc was my fairy godmama!!
i managed to get a black dinner dress out of my own pocket.. then popped over to jasc's.. she's just back frm her bangkok trip recently.. with tons of shoes and accessories! hahhahaha.. she lent me her white heels, white laces, white earrings and white flower band for me to play around with, see how i wanna 'hang' them on me! hahaha..
and tadah! perfect simple dress for da dinner!! weeeeeee~!

i had some difficulties walking in the pair of heels but only becos i suck at walking in them.. esp when they are pointed heels! hahaha good thing i did not fall flat on my face and embarrass myself hehz..
anyway, the heels were ver comfortable!! no blisters after long hours! in fact it feels a little cushiony, holding my ar4 kar1 in place!
in case you thought i rebonded my hair before attending dnd.. no no!! i just went to cut fringe, then told my hairdresser i'm gg for a dinner and he washed and blew my hair into place la! haha.. now my natural strands are back sometimes i feel like gg bald.. hahaha..
the food was not good, but considering the fact that we had wala wala's band (i forgot the name) to entertain us.. it's not bad for the price of $29.. did i mention dnd was at raffles town club? i dun really like the place.. so no comments la..
since grace wasn't able to make it to dnd in time.. i took photos of the food for her!!

well, only almost all the dishes here la, i forgot about the mee, but it wasn't wonderful, so no regrets missing out on that one! *hee*

but hey, singapore's got alot of good makan places ma.. and there really isn't many interesting places on a small island eh?

sunday, went compass point to support my cute nephew brandon for the baby bonanza superwalker contest!
before the competition, he was running around the place non-stop lar! his parents and grandparents and godparents had to run after him in case he got lost! so full of energy ya know? but then hor, by the time it was near his turn for the superwalker contest, he was tired.. and had no mood to compete! hahaha.. in the end when it was his turn, he walked a few steps and sat down on the mat! hahahaha.. then he walked another few steps, and sat down again! haha.. i was laughing uncotrollably.. so cute! he did not get into the final round la.. cos he was not 'fast' enuff to complete walking the track.. but still got some consolation prizes, which consist of some diapers and etc?
yeah.. it was so funny.. if he's gonna join other competition, i sure go watch him if i'm free!!!

Ding Dong Ding Dong!! It's the second year!! hehz.. my dear dear is so sweet! see.. no matter how much he hates buying flowers thinking that it's a waste of his money.. he'll still do it if he knows it's gonna make me so delighted! muahahahahaha!
He actually brought the bouquet with him and waited for me at my office building lobby!!! so sweet right? hahaha.. i'm happy la, but i also realised it's quite paiseh to walk around with such a big bouquet..
first, it's not light.. quite heavy leh.. second, ppl will look at you and the flowers and sometimes whisper to their partners or friends.. just weird la, not used to being 'watched' hahaha.. third, we were on our way to esplanade and it was people mountain people sea, so gotta carry the flowers with extra caution!
now i can understand how sweet bfs are when they not paiseh just carry the big bouquet walk on the streets.. hahahahahahaha..
the fireworks on 8 august was pretty, but i thought last year's much better.. the right feelings and not so squeezy.. hhahahahaa..
on nationaly day.. monkey woke up early to cook lunch for us! hee.. my sister so lucky, since she was home, she get a share too!
nothing much for national day.. i'm over the period of watching the parade on tv.. instead, we went je to dinner.. hahaha..
such a simple celebration for second year.. but i love it! hee..
oh! wanna know what he bought for me? hahahahahaha.. check this out! mine's the pure white color one.. 30G.. hahahaha enough for me to store my whole bleach and naruto series.. along with hundreds of songs!!!!

Genting trip 28 to 30 July
this is my second genting trip with monkey and friends! hehz.. driving up the mountain.. but with a different car.. last time was nissan sunny, this time round toyota corolla! sweet!
i brought puppet eeyore along.. to keep me entertained (cos monkey will use it to make me laugh) hehz.. dun believe? i show u!
hmmm, perhaps it's the second time going there, so i dun have many photos taken.. it's all the same old stuff going on.. and i can't possibly take photos inside the casino rite?
oh oh! one thing's different.. the previous trip here, i had to sneak into the casino, hoping they dun check my passport (cos haven't reach 21 years old la).. the first nite i went in successfully.. not so fortunate the second afternoon.. monkey was itching to go inside and try his luck (which then he did not have much of).. i ended up sitting alone at coffee bean with an elle magazine and hot mocha for almost 2 hours! I did not have my hp with me, and so i dared not go toilet, scared he would come any minute! hahaha.. so funny la come to think of it..
we always love to have dinner at happy valley restaurant.. cheap and good! the other outlets all so bloody expensive and the food dun taste good wan.. with the exception of mary brown!! i love eating fried chicken in msia.. so tender and fresh! hahahaha..
ha! this one picture must put big big let all of u see.. the most expensive drink that i've bought during the 3days! cost 3.50rm for such as SMALL cup FULL of ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the worst thing was, after our meal we went one level up to the cinema to catch out movie - dragon tiger gate (in cantonese oh my gosh).. the drinks there only 3rm for a BIG cup!!!!!!
my expenses for this trip was minimal.. cos casino side no win no lose.. then some food was sponsored courtesy of those who won money.. hahaha.. but the arcade there sucks la! machines always faulty ( i think about 65% of them).. cheat us of our credits! humph!
the weather is always so nice.. hahah why can't singapore's weather be like this???? the thought of being back here sweating like a pig is very revolting!!!! and if the weather is hot, monkey will face black black easily! hahaha.. see how happy he was like a boy when we were at genting!

monkey brought me to ps for a quick bite @ carls junior be4 heading to cathay for our movie.. the burger's so huge leh!! we shared ONE meal.. hahaha.. i think it's quite nice! monkey liked the idea of puttting whole tray of serviets on each table.. hahaha..

i had some cravings for the buttery corns and decided to get one to satisfy my craving.. this bloody small cup of corn costs $2.50! hmmm, abit the steep i feel.. but where else can i get to eat this other than at cinema huh?
well anyways, the flash from my camera while i was taking the picture above attracted uneccessary attention.. haha, nothing serious, jus one of the ushers came over to tell me photograph is not allowed.. hehz, of cos i noe la, jus tt it was boring be4 the movie started ma!

after the movie.. i think monkey kinda got possessed.. he was acting all weird and keeps mumbling to me i'm captain jack sparrow.. *diaoz*
today monkey came to wait for me at my work place leh!! so poor thing he ends work at 5pm, and so had to wander around for another 1.5 hour or so before i end work.. i mentioned the strawberries at caltex house sun and moon shop looks so tasty.. he bought them for me!! hahah! yeah yeah strawberries!!
we couldn't decide where to makan for dinner and by the time we walked to suntec, i was almost half dead from hunger.. and since we had no particular cravings.. monkey suggested to makan at our default dinner place..
crystal jade kitchen lo.. haha tis time we ordered something new.. portuguese bean curd! it doesn't look nice, but the taste not bad i think.. abit like curry but not hot.. aiyo i oso duno how to explain la.. jus go try it out alrite? hahaha.. it's a chef recommendation leh!
after dinner walk walk walk around.. and i ended up buying some chocs to makan..
yeah yeah! royce nama chocolates! so think and rich and tasty.. melts so smoothly in my mouth! not as expensive as godiva.. it's a different kind of texture and taste lo..
the packaging is so troublesome to remove la.. layers after layers.. like trying to play hard to get so i'll appreciate the chocs more like tt wahahaha.. hmmm, conclusion? i still prefer godiva's truffles!!
finally after wanting to try the food at this place for so long... i no longer have to wait! haha.. hmmm, the sprouting of many hongkong cafes is common.. i wonder if it'll be like bubble tea.. just a fad?
anyway, i thought this xin wang hongkong cafe at kovan looks pretty nice.. the lighting compliments the layout of the cafe.. and the seats are comfortable!!
we went down for food after a mahjong session (what else during weekends? i'm starting to think my weekend is empty without mahjong!).. it was about 4am or sometime near? i can't remember but that's not important hehz..
the food!!! we ordered milo dinosaur, a mee-sua, baked pasta and red bean ice kachang.. oh my the ice kachang is HUGE! 4 of us couldn't even finish half of it.. haha.. i recommend the mee-sua, it's tasty, and the egg's big and juicy! *keke*
if you think that's the end of good food for the weekend, you're wrong! well yes, usually we'll try good food and/or new food once a week esp during the weekends, but this weekend's a little different..
the following afternoon, barely after a few hours of rest after the 'late' supper, or 'very early' breakfast, monkey's friends brought us to this dimsum place at chinatown area..
apparently this place is popular with the japanese.. their menu even include japanese translation! the place was very crowded when we went there.. and while we were eating, there was a long queue after us.. hmmm, i'd really love to recommend this place to you all but i was driven there.. and i duno what is the exact address!!! hmmm.. the next time i visit i'll at least remember the road name okie dokie!
hee.. here's the list of food we tried: xiao long baos, which are juicier than din tai fung's and tastier than crystal jade's.. hot & sour soup, in my opinion i thought it was okie, i prefer din tai fung's soup.. then there was gyoza, which was full of fillings, yummy! we also tried this pancake-look-a-like dish.. it was also filled with fillings similar to gyoza.. the zha2 jiang4 mian4 we tried was the best i've ever eaten so far.. the mee is very Q and the meat sauce was perfect to go with the mee~.. we had gui4 hua1 soup tang1 yuan2 for dessert.. the soup's real nice!!! i finished the whole bowl, including the little petals of flowers..
guess what we did after lunch? no prizes for the correct anwer..
ya, we went for mahjong again.. nope, i was the spectator and 'super-substitute' only.. not one of the major 'legs' of the table..
while monkey was happily winning money for his dry swimming, i hopped down to town for dinner with my 'internet business models' project groupmates weihao, elgin and marianne.. it was wh's treat! hee.. Happy Birthday to him! and hope he likes the present we got him.. hehz.. should be of good good use!
by the way, isn't it so nice we can still meet up for dinner after we graduate? i mean how many times do we actually meet our project groupmates to catch up and have fun, or in our case playing 'snake and ladders' was our favorite.. we always have a good laugh at one another over this simple game.. maybe it's just me, but i feel so happy i get to go out with them and still keep in contact.. haha.. and i found out that marianne is actually j's colleague! hehz.. what a small world..
back to the dinner.. he treated us to authentic japanese food at cuppage plaza.. the same restaurant jasc brought me to and introduced me to the beef stew.. i still remember there was one i was really depressed over k, and dapig treated me the full sashimi set at this restaurant.. haha.. 
the sashimi was good.. so this time i had the sashimi beto set.. oh ya, the menu's in jap!! i can't understand it for goodness sake, and there's no pictures! haha.. fortunately most of the staff there are chinese and they were able to translate it for us.. hee.. wh recommended this grilled sotong.. and it was DELICIOUS!!! looks so simple yet so tasty! hahah you have to try it to know.. it's really really worth the price.. hehz..
we also tried this dish which i totally forgot what name was it.. but hell yeah, it was yummilicious as well! haha..
everytime i visit this restaurant, i try different dishes and so far i have not been disappointed.. hee.. i miss the beef stew leh!! haha when i get my pay.. mayb will go there with monkey!!
