hApPiE bDaY tO mR i'm-gg-to-be-a-rich-man MoNkEy

Bee woke up at 6am to prepare breakfast.. Bee hates waking up so early in the morning.. but bee loves making breakfast for monkey!

It may not look as nice but bee hoped it tasted much better!

Bee washed up and packed her stuff for work..
Bee then met very-kind my (monkey's colleague) at je mrt station to pass the breakfast.. he then delivered it to monkey's office!

monkey: aiyo, why u ask my to deliver? he's on leave today lei..
bee: huh, u not happy is it?
monkey: no la, happy la.
(bee thinks monkey dun sound very surprised/ happy tho)

Bee took half day leave from work in the afternoon to collect monkey's monkey bday cake.. meanwhile bee left computer on in case monkey emails her.. she arranged a very-nice ym to help check if monkey emailed her and if need be, to reply on bee's behalf..

Bee took train to Bugis, then walked to waterloo street, with the dark clouds looming.. After collecting the cake, bee was stuck at the place as it had started raining dinosaurs..

Bee stayed around at room for desserts playing ds games and sms-ing her friends.. after about an hour (345pm), bee decided she should get her ass out of the place and surprise monkey at his office..

BUT...


it was still raining very-the-bloody-so-damn heavily!

Bee met another lady who came to collect cake for her bf (she was drenched) and they decided to share cab to the station.. but most of the taxi-booking lines were engaged.. They lady then called her friend and she asked if bee wanted a lift.. at that moment bee managed to get through the premier taxi receptionist.. and thus rejected the free ride..


Bee finally reached monkey's office building.. and called him to come down.. Bee told monkey to share the cake and 'muffins' (there were no muffins. Bee had previously hid the present in a cake box, so monkey can open the box to see his own present).. monkey brought the boxes up to his office and meanwhile bee took a bite and rested at a makan place at the office building..

Monkey was surprised (and later on some colleagues were curious to see what present he received).. he liked his present alot and for the rest of the evening spent more time with the present than bee..

Bee and monkey had dinner at marina sq jack's place.. since monkey had cravings for escargots.. Bee had lobster bisque and black pepper tenderloin steak, while monkey had his escargots with special steak..

After dinner, they requested to collect the cake left in their care earlier on (the monkey's monkey cake).. they had wanted to bring it hm but to their surprise, it came on a plate with the candle already lighted! how nice of the waiter to prepare it for monkey! =)

monkey then proceeded to pose for photos.. made his wish(either he wished for munny or money or more wishes), blew out the candles and cut the cake.. oh by the way, this monkey's monkey cake was actually a banana chocolate cake (how apt!)

Bee and monkey went home after dinner and dessert.. upon monkey's request, bee had to take out all the things in monkey's old wallet, use a damp towel to wipe the cards clean, then put them in the new wallet.. -_-"

it was a nite well spent together.. except the frequent taking-out-present-opening-present-looking-and-touching-present-pack-the-present-keep-the-present cycle.. *hee*

My comp officially dieded on 28 Oct 2007 Sunday, 1730.

Dr Monkey Teoh tried his best to revive it after it fell into a coma earlier on.

I suspect there must be some 衰神 (goddess of suay-ness) lingering..

First my hp had fainting spells, which proved to be a symptom of stroke (blood clot in the brain). So now I have to buy new hp since Dr Teoh suggested repairing would not be worth the money and effort. euthanasia is the best option.

Now my comp is dead.. -_-"

Gotta get a new one.. how to save up for bkk shopping trip like tt huh hmmm huh?!?!

Maybe I'll have to seek MFG's (Monkey Finance Group) help.. and I don't like it..

my dear puiee bought all the stuff (dapig was in this too, with his financial support), lugged them to her office (some stranger asked if she was decorating her workstation) , packed the stuff, took cab down to tuckshop, gave them to me, took photos and makan lunch w us, then took cab back to work!

i must say puiee is the master of conspiracy (for now, i shall forget she's known as little miss clumsy as well).. a box full of green green stuff! (not to mention she was wearing green too!) cushion, floor mat, quilt, towel, nike water bottle, pouch (with green snacks), buaya w red pox soft toy, accessories tree, mug, bowl, candles, candle holder, toilet brush (wth?!??! lol), napkins.


the box is pretty heavy, i had 2 nachos 'machos' carry it for me back to office. heh.

DS Lite (ice blue)!! haha.. monkey was too eager to give me my present. He's 12 days early! Nevertheless, I'm exhilarated! I didn't expect him to buy it.. cos he mentioned he wanted to get Wii, so DS Lite abit extra, thus he will get me something else instead.. and i agreed..

how would i know he wasn't telling the truth? well, the Wii part was true, but he still gave me my DS Lite! hee~ equipped with screen protectors, clear casing, and R4(with games inside already)!!

like i'm always a gadget idiot.. he prepared everything nicely for me! all i need to do is to on and play lar! hehe..

monkey says now i can 'watch' him play mj.. i play DS Lite he play mj.. when he's studying/ working, too busy to entertain me, i can entertain myself w DS Lite lo..

i'm like so happy lar! a few days back on my train ride home, i convinced myself it'll be good without DS Lite to distract me.. and here i am now addicted to it! hurm~

this was a gathering with s86 gang.. but bee wished the attendance was better.. wanz shuz jingz donz inez siva and bee were there.. benz and junz not free.. *shakes head* next time ba..

a good catching up with the peepz, and of cos dinner was great! first time trying pu tien's dishes, good first impression! some mentioned the restaurant at Kitchener Road serves tastier dishes.. Can't wait to go try!

bee hates yam, but the fried yam at pu tien is so yummy bee couldn't resist.. even ordered second serving hehe.. must try must try must try!

their lor mee isn't the conventional one we always see in coffeshops or hawker centre.. the gravy is white instead of the usual dark brown, and not as starchy. they put dried scallops and clams too! nice! i love scallops! hahaha..

pan fried bun is also quite interesting.. some say it taste weird (more so with the sauce that you're supposed to dip it in), but bee thought it actually taste quite nice, especially when it's hot from the pan.. =)

too bad the service was not as fantastic, perhaps due to lack of staff? bee hoped it was not because there was no 10% service charge at food republic.. *shrugs*

Every year in August monkey and bee will visit Lemongrass Thai Restaurant at Heeren. Cos that's the first place they had dinner when they started dating. 2 out of the 3 years they dined with 2 of monkey's friends.. so we can all try more variety of dishes yeah?

the 30% discount comes from UOB's promotion.. but oh well, it didn't really make a difference, since lemongrass has increased their prices since the gst hike..

bee still loves lemongrass fried vermicelli the most.. yummilicious!

It was a dreadful almost 1h bus ride to monkey's work place.. but the thought of yummy ramen made me feel much better! Am on leave today.. and it's my first time having lunch with him since he started work.. =)

We tried the 'top' ramen as the menu suggested.

The soup took two days to prepare and it tasted really good. You could literally taste the sweetness of pork.. Well, if you don't like pork, then you won't like the soup la.. haha.

The ramen was 'Q' enough.. but not the best I've tried so far. The dish may appear spicy, and it only looks so.. If you prefer spicy ramen, you'll have to add more chili oil or chili flakes to flavour..

I think the best part of the dish was the pork! thinly sliced (like buta shabu) and so tender!

Overall a good good lunch.. and it's monkey's treat! haha.. will go back to try other foods if there's a chance.. =)

Formally known as Coffee Garden, The Line has increased in variety of delicacies (16 sections) for food lovers. Nevertheless I missed its open air bbq seafood section, esp the succulent prawns!

Some of the must-trys includes sashimi (request for salmon belly), chicken/ mutton satays, small beef steak, poached salmon, assorted pastas, grilled prawns, lagsane, yi-fu noodles and according to forums, wanton noodles is a must try. too bad my stomach was too full for it!

I was not overwhelmed by the desserts at all. Although most looked pretty in shot glasses, only tiramisu and cranberry dessert seized my taste buds. Chocolate fondue was average. Melt's desserts are so much better!

Service was close to perfect. Our glasses were always topped up before we finished 1/2 of the contents, plates were cleared as soon as we finished or seemed like we are done trying the foods. Napkins were always folded and neatly placed on our table every time we left for more makans.

Not a bad place for 3-year anniversary dinner! I'd say The Line is a more suitable place for gatherings though, the layout made it feels so. Moreover majority who went were in groups of at least 4. Perhaps it'll be quieter on weekdays that are not eve of public holidays!

On Thursdays, dinner buffet's @ $88 instead of $66, but you get free flow of wine and beer! =)

haha.. that's about it.. a satisfying dinner with monkey.. every time i eat with him, it seems like i can eat more than usual, hmmm, perhaps cos i'm happy? well, more more more sumptuous meals to come eh? *monkey nods head*

on the day before ym comes back from his almost 2.5 weeks leave.. we decided to 'welcome' him back with a 'lil surprise.. *keke*

well, we did get our hands dirty with all the carbon.. but it was so fun! and with many's help, it took less than 20mins to get this all up..

i must say this is the best so far.. even 'better' than at's post-its fun earlier in the year..

Haha, the night full of surprises (for food).. chocolate factory is pretty interesting.. they'll prepare and bake the souffle only after order is taken.. hee.. we waited for about 30mins for our souffle.. definitely worth the wait! a must try for all chocolate lovers!

went to AMK hub yest.. according to monkey, it shall be the new 'town' we'll be visiting very often.. what the hell? haiz.. although i think it's not bad la, really got lotsa shops and makan places.. plus when the cathay is ready.. oh man, i can imagine being stuck in the north/ northeast every weekend lei!

Who's the devil?

So.. monkey came to my office with a big eeyore for me.

colleagues asked why i'm not touched. commented he was very sweet. some every agreed i'm bad for thinking it was what he should've done.

The thing is they do not know what happened prior to this oh-so-sweet action.

i think it was a very bad choice personally to turn up right in front of my office door. even worse when my BIG boss came out and saw us standing outside just for less than 2 mins..

and what's with the eeyore? i love it. but it's been attached with a meaning i hate to mention. why does it have to be to say sorry? "don't want to make me sad" has been imprinted on my mind, the tone, the words, when to say.. except the action.

time and time again the same thing happened.. tv over me. it was mj over me. i conceded defeat. now tv. great! was i the devil to so excitedly wanna share my health screen experiences with you? my gosh! can't even tell u then what? find a stranger and spat all my grievances or nonsense at him/her? i told you i was tired, wanna sleep. bloody hell i'm still sick and on medication can?

it's not minor. it's pro-longed. too long in fact. enough. i'm still upset to tell the truth. but i cannot be angry. win liaoz lo. how now? hide at home and cry la?

"Raffles Deluxe 2007" Package

My first health screen in 22-going-23 years.. such a detailed screen I mean.. sponsored by my company (not bad la, Raffles medical lei!) Went for it early this morning with ml.. haha it was good to have her company, if not i sure blur like sotong.. she's really nice to remind me to start fasting the previous evening, and to drink lotsa water this morning.. hehz..

initially i thought i had to postpone my health screen due to my flu, but i called and they said as long as it's not high fever or i was not too weak to get off my bed, it's alright for me to go ahead. and so i did. =)

first was registration, checking name, i/c number and other particulars.. then the nurse passed me a small container --- for urine test. half a bottle will do, collect the mid-stream, not the starting and the end. hur~ those were the exact words i heard. well, if i had no *ahem* urge to relieve, i could carry the bottle until whenever i'm ready to pee! *keke*

second stop was x-ray. i had to sign a consent form stating i'm not pregnant, then change into the purple robe they provided.. they had lockers for me to keep my stuff, cool! for guys, they'll just ask u to take off your top la. haha.. x-ray was really fast. just tie up my hair, go into the room, stick my body to da machine and breathe-in HOLD~~~ by end of 3secs, it was done!

Next up was Electrocardiogram (ECG). I entered another room after my name was called, where the nurse asked if it was my first time.. she was really kind to explain that ECG is for analysing my heart activity. All i had to do was to lie down, breathe normally and don't move. Oh, she did inform me she was going to take off my robe for some metal 'clips' to be clipped onto my chest, along with big clips for my wrists and ankles. Another colleague told me the previous day when she went there, the nurse just pulled open her robe without warning! haha.. kinda hilarious to me! Anyway the whole process only took like 10mins? Fourth test was the WORST in my very HUMBLE opinion. Blood test, which was bloody long (pun-intended). Took my height, weight, test eyesight, measured BMI and fat content yadayadayada.. This time it was a guy who kinda mumbles to himself taking my blood. My precious blood.

after a LONG LONG while...

the guy managed to collect only 1/3 of what is required from the vein on my right arm. all the while i could feel him adjusting the needle, pulling it out and pushing it in, turning left and right, adjusting to the optimum flow. PAIN la, can?

he gave up, and told me to press on my right arm with the piece of cotton for 3mins. Barely 30secs passed, i was told to give him my left arm, which he complained still cannot find the vein..

who'd have guessed i literally exercised my left arm (flexing it up&down continuously) for 5mins, while staring at my right arm getting the or-cheh cos i had no third hand to press on the previous wound.. finally he found the 'missing' vein and the whole arduous process start all over again. minus the not enough blood.

at the end of 20~25mins, i'm done with step 4 and was being teased by the guy for having 2 plasters while all the rest had 1 only. hur~

consultation was next, with the standard medical qns on history.. checked my eyes, ears, checked my breasts for lumps, checked abdomens, pap smear(optional).. this year we've to dig our own shit for stools test. ml said last year she had her doctor dug it for her.. it was quite troublesome, i had to aim 'properly' when i shit (not to bloop into the water) so i can use the ice-cream-stick-lookalike take a teeny-weeny bit and smear it on the piece of paper they gave us. seal it, and make a trip back to clinic the next morning to deposit.

5 major steps completed. Now i'm patiently waiting for medical review next week! Hope everything's gonna be fine!!

(stares at my or-cheh) *shakes head*

p/s: i may appear laughing, but i actually am very scared of taking blood test..

What are the chances of childhood friends (and just-next-door neighbours) becoming a couple and eventually tying the knot? Very little i'd say! And I thought it's a very sweet thing to happen!

Anyhow, I thought the bride's very pretty! Alan looked very 'star' .. haha like he was going to 开个人演唱会.. hehe

oh speaking of which, yesterday (25 Mar) monkey and i went over to suntec's convention hall 402 403 to support my niece baby cheryl for her walking contest.. turned out we realised it was a family carnival.. and there were so many bridal stalls set up.. they even had a wedding gowns show at the main stage..

before we met yh and her family.. those bridal stalls ppl kept approaching us asking us the standard qns.. alamak. for a moment i thought monkey was going to use the same tactic saying "oh, she's my 姐姐" haha.. well he didn't la, and i buay tahan til i told him to stay a distance from me until we find yh..

subsequently, i 'borrowed' brandon or cheryl from time to time to avoid being approached la.. haha.. but eventually i started getting pamphlets targeted at families (w children).. *lol*

ah! sidetracked so much.. back to the wedding.. one big big grp photo before we start the dinner! the J.D. P (or used to be J.D. P) team! hahaha.. Congrats to my team leader Alan! 我真的没有讨厌你!

haha! ever since i watched hanakimi series.. i start to notice this guy.. 吴尊.. such a pretty boy! remember.. i always have soft spot for pretty boys.. hahaha.. see la, now i'm a 花痴 all over again.. even my mum likes him! she keeps telling me he's very pretty, very handsome.. haha.. my sentiments exactly!

he has the perfect built i love! not too beefy not to skinny(like monkey).. *keke*

monkey sure dun like him.. cos i keep telling him how pretty and handsome and cute and aiyoyo whatever positive adjectives you can find i've told monkey.. and his response?
