I'm a very happy bee today...

cos i'm meeting my p6 buddies for dinner.. a meet up before yl goes to US for 3 months..

and i do not have to make my way there alone! haha..
it was very sweet of matt to call and ask to give me a ride.. where to find such buddy? i get very excited whenever my friends offer to drive me la.. you see i wouldn't personally ask for a ride cos i think it's so paiseh and bu yao lian.. so i'm really really grateful everytime i get to travel without tapping my ezlink card hehz hehz..

and so i'm a happy bee enjoying the ride..

taking photos and taking photos and taking photos.. nothing much to take la.. it's jus me, matt the congested road cos it was peak hour.. no interesting cars except an SLR.. yeah, nothing in particular..

we reached raffles city.. walked around abit while waiting for yl and gw..

so tempted to start shopping lehz.. but i shall wait for sale next week haha.. wanted to go la senza too.. but it was too far away for lazy us to walk over to suntec larz..

dinner at sushi tei!! level 3 just beside the food junction.. they having this opening promotion.. 15% off bill with at least $50 spent.. what a good deal!!

the place looks damn classy la! see got 'runway' in front of the restaurant leh! haha..

we were so lucky to get to sit in one of these.. cos not many ppl in the restaurant at that time..

very cosy little place of our own.. round table.. easy to converse also muahahaha.. very comfortable place to sit and makan..

this is what we can see from our seat.. hehz.. i think i'm getting better with the night scene mode of my camera.. yeah!

let me see.. we ordered quite abit of food.. but i keep forgeting to take pictures.. until this side dish..

hanasaki tenpura.. $5, very delicious! so crispy, not too oily.. the chawanmushi $4 also very nice!! though i prefered tonkichi's haha.. we also tried salmon carpaccio $8.. salmon fresh! good! oh man.. i so miss the sashimi at melt la!!

let's see.. we tried this other salmon tofu, not bad.. the salmon belly soup was alright only la haha.. salmon don is quite tasty.. especially the fish roe.. haha my my, i'm salavating again leh! fat fat bee!

i simply love jap food! hmmm, gw mentioned kushinbo now very expensive le leh.. last year i went like $35 per person.. he said now it's like $48? what the hell inflation until so jialat wan meh?!?!

oh and bacarrat, changing to ala carte soon le la.. cos apparently the buffet style is not erm.. lucrative? i think maybe cos the place abit difficult to find ba..

you noe it's kinda amazing what i can do and talk abt with these old classmates hur~ after dinner we just shopped around and i feel so comfortable la.. you noe sometimes you go shop around with other ppl wil feel abit awkward.. or is it just me.. haha

like i'm not sure what i do or where i go the other ppl will mind or not.. but with them, i jus wander around and pull them along to the places i wan to go la.. of cos we each had our turns.. i'm not the only one ordering them around la.. haha..

and gw suggested to me trying out the heels at robinson.. and so i did.. tried about like 10 pairs? including some boots and wedges.. oh my.. they look so nice on me leh!! hahaha perhaps i shall get them.. when i have the money and during the sale?

damn it! forgot to take photos of those heels!

we left for this hongkong style cafe in west coast just behind gw's place.. for some drink and dessert la..

it opens from 12noon to 6am everyday.. haha.. got more than 300 items on their menu! wow!

gw tried the yuan1 yang1 drink (coffee plus tea).. not bad leh.. quite nice..

i tried this dessert..
it has a long name.. mango kiwi snowy mountain.. the chinese name even longer la.. hahaha.. it's quite a big portion at $5.. and it's so nice! haha.. mango and kiwi goes well together!

after dessert we went home la.. and thanks to matt.. for sending me home!! i thought he would have forgotten how to go to my place.. cos it's like more than 9 months since he came to my place.. i was wrong! hmmm..

gw recommended high tea buffet at sheraton towers.. shall we go there sometime soon? hahahahahahahaaha..

the wanton noodle din looked nice to me at all.. but it sure tasted fabulously delicious haha..

this time i din buy pearly soya to go with my dinner.. the bloody $3 sugar cane juice is gigantic!!

oh ya and i looked like shite.. bad hair face body day i'd say.. totally so not prepared for going out.. mj was also last minute.. 3 nights of mj this weekend!!! ohmigosh.. only i played spectator for the majority of time.. mostly monkey playing larz.. i too amateur and gongz to play with the pros you see.. and i dun hav vitamin Ms to lose in all his $1-$2 mj games.. urgh..

speaking of which.. i'm gonna start looking for job soon.. if not monkey gonna nag at me again and again.. he's become an automated machine at that!

i seriously need to get the accumulated fats outta my system.. urgh...

i wanna learn swimming.. but erm.. i duno where to start leh..

i wanna go blading.. hmmm but i'm in the far west.. and i dun own a pair of blades..

i wanna cycle.. but all my frens working.. weekend so many ppl i dun like.. haha i'm picky shite..

dinner at Jack's Place in town for our post 21st month celebration.. hahaha.. actually it's part of our good food hunt for his holidays la..

we had prawns and mango and soup of the day for starters..


monkey ordered the special steak - medium..

it's heavenly.. haha simply delicious..

i had the steak and catfish set..

the fish was nice. but the steak was mediocre after i tried monkey's tenderloin steak.. haiz.. hahaha

for dessert, we tried the apple pie..

it was too huge even for the both of us to share it.. but it tasted great with the vanilla ice cream.. hehz.. i had hot tea after the meal..

i am a very happy bee after the dinner.. and he's a very bloated monkey.. muahahah

Team Eclair - Fruitful Day

From a not-so-willing participant to a devoted one over the span of say 1 month? it's worth it.. my last marketing competition in uni b4 i graduate (oh my, i hope i can graduate haha)..

Macquarie Pacific Star Prime Award 2006.. a challenge to create a unique value proposition for Wisma Atria, with a full package from exterior/interior design to marketing communications.. together with waiying coreen yonghui yanting.. Team Eclair embarked on this project..

the first round was just to submit the report and wait for announcement on the final teams.. personally, it was already a good experience (we pia-ded the whole nite without a wink before the submission of report) in the attempt to churn a decent report from our research.. and never would i have thought we'd get through to the finals..

nevertheless, it was exhilarating to be notified as one of the finalist.. and since we were in the finals.. might as well work hard for at least the Third prize la! haha

yes yes.. and so behind the scene, hours of printing (we had to print 5 copies excluding backup copies for the panel of judges) and cutting and pasting and typing and what notz.. from school to coreen's place in the far northeast and back to school..

before the presentation early in the morning at 930am.. that is yesterday nite la.. dun even hav time to eat.. still hafta go tuition.. things not all done.. got realy frustrated haiz.. like ant on a hotpot.. haha.. but oh well, it's always like that la.. the day be4 the BIG day, tiny screw ups, last minute touch up, stuff like that can't be helped..

this morning when i woke up (i almost ovslept), saw this card on my table..

we took cab down to ngee an city tower b.. where macquarie pacific is located.. where our presentation was held..

the place is simple and nice! haha.. we were directed to a waiting room.. the previous group was still presenting.. haha..

from 21st storey la.. hahaha.. overwhelming.. (i've got phobia of heights)..

we started taking photos.. rather than sitting in the room wiping cold sweat.. hahha

a teeny weeny mishap happened just before presentation.. our dear waiying spilled water over our reports!!! hhahaha so in the end have to 'dryer-clean' them hahahaha.. *phew* luckily not very jialat the reports..

the 1hr presentation went on fine.. little twitches did happen but overall it was fine.. while i was speaking, one of the staff w took her camera out and took a snap.. erm that kinda shaken me abit.. i started to forget what i was gg to talk abt!! can you believe it i skipped a slide totally because of that.. hahahaha i thought my presentation was bad.. the rest did great.. that's y overall fine la.. hahaha

after presentation we exhanged namecards with the judges (marketing manager, marketing assistant, liaising officer, ceo and chairperson)..

we thought we'd leave.. but we were offered some hans breakfast instead! hahah..

see i had yonghui as my tea-server leh!! hahaha

well, another round of photo-whoring..

i thin the receptionist must have been very amused by us.. last shot before we proceed to out k-lunch at cineleisure!!!


breakfast at 1030am.. then k-lunch at 11am?!?!? hahahah so much for supposedly feeling dead-tired after all the work.. we still had the energy to spend singing and yelling away..


by the way, the fried rice was delicious, for a moment i thought it was from din tai fung hahahaha..

after k-lunch, waiying went for her interview with ibm, coreen went or her tuition..

yonghui and i hopped over to four seasons hotel to see the finals of loreal's brandstorm Singapore 2006.. (well, we actually painstakingly walked over la)

it was quite fun.. runway show, summarized version of the 8 groups' presentation, interestng talks by guests of honour..

and the food!!!!!!

we're spoilt for choices! beehoon, dim sum, fruits, desserts.. so nice!

i think the both of us ate about 10 har kaus.. hahahaha.. yeah, it was that delicious..

then it was photo taking again.. with grace n fren.. most of the photos turn out blurry.. so sad.. haiz.. the place was so nice to sit around and just relax!! hahahahaha..

oh yes! we had goody bags too!! which includes a facial clenaser, moisturiser, foundation and lip gloss from Lancome..

at about 615pm.. we left four seasons to take train to bouna vista.. where one rochester is.. the venue for our prize presentation and dinner and drinking and networking.. hahahaha

on our way there.. sorry we don't drive.. so it's bloody abt 1.5 bus stop walk to the place from mrt station..

but it was worthwhile.. our first time there.. the place looks great for chill out.. i bet the prizes are HOT though.. ha! lame..

we were the first grou to arrive.. so paishe.. duno what to do while we were there.. ther served all kinds of drinks la.. from fruit punch to red wine.. haha for a start i had fruit punch to quench my thirst..

the prize presentation was abt 8pm.. we got Third!! haha am already happy to get in finals and have the opportunity to meet such great people.. Third was a bonus!! got $500 cash and $500 voucher, together with Wisma privilege card for each of the team members..

yantyng's team also got Third prize haha.. n's team got second and wl's team got first.. haha..

after that, it was food (tasty figner food leh!) and drinks and chatting with the management.. and our profs!!

prof leaong and prof ang.. i love their modules!! so fun with lots of interesting stories to share.. never regret going for their classes.. hahaha

yes yes, photo taking of course! who'd miss such a chance?

it was a great experience to talk to the profs, and macquarie's management.. the ceo was rather serious and he happened to be prof leong's honours student when he was in uni! hahaha.. i got to learn some stuff through the conversations.. it made me think abit about what i want to do really.. and i was so happy when prof leong said i could put his name down as a reference for my resume.. hahaha

however, sometimes when these adults get serious in their conversations, i can't seem to find things or topics to talk to them.. hmmm, it was my first time doing such networking la so i guess it's alrite.. and i realised i can talk so comfortably in such informal situations.. but during presentation i tend to fumble haiz.. bad bad..

Eclair was the last team to leave.. we even stayed on when all the rest of the groups and company left.. the whole place was ours! hahaha so we lazed around and chatted.. we found out from the bartender that on a weekday evening such as today, it cost $3500 to book the whole place inclusive of food and drinks.. on a weekend, it could jack up to $10 000 la!!!! cos usually on weekends, the place will be full by 7pm.. wow wow wow..

it's a very nice place to hang out with friends or colleagues after work.. definitely not my last time there.. haha.. i almost fell asleep in the big and comfy armchair la..

this whole experience is really so so so enriching.. even rite after the presentation i started missing the times we meet and yak and argue and whateva.. the effort put in to do photoshop, ppt, churning out of reports, rehearsing presentation.. yada yada yada.. this time round working with friends.. so things are easier to coordinate you noe. next time in working world.. i wonder how much worse can the relationships get, the difficulty in coordination and agreement on stuff.. haha.. am i thinking too much?

but seriously it was a memorable time.. busy and freaking tiring but FUN LEARNING PERIOD.. really squeeze my brain dry liaoz still must do it creatively.. hahaha.. i get the adrenaline seeing the end product.. but what's more encuraging is the relationships forged and the process of working together as a team towards a common goal..

got one game, i kena bao1 by jasc cos i hit the bai2 ban3 to make her maximum 5 tais..

and the tiles i holding quite nice okie.. ping2 hu2 got 4 tais also ma..

and then, i got the san1 suo3 tile..

anyone who noes basic mahjong will see that i zi4 mo1 rite????

but i sotongz.. cos i oredi very shocked and scared that i will hit the tile for jasc or she zi4 mo1.. so under the pressure and probably oso cos of the time of the day..

i BLOODY HELL HIT THE SAN1 SUO3 THAT I ZI4 MO1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and then guess wat? jasc won with the san1 suo3 that i hit..

so i paid her $12.80 for this game alone..

it was a total loss of $22.40 ($12.80 i paid and $9.60 to collect if i declared victory)..

that aside.. even if she said not sharing.. then what hv you done? he could even send a simple sms and ask what i wanted.. what did you do? even if not abt last year.. for the past years.. what have you done? who were the ones who tried to cheer you up and surprise you and walked all over the place to get you something you wanted?

this is not about the 2 of us only, whether you are the disposable boyfren to me or i'm the disposable one for you when u needed someone.. it's abt the 4 of us.. even if you had your reasons (which i believed and understood) for MIA, what happened when you 'reappear'?

you don't say it seemed like we wanted to end the frenship when you don't even understand our frenship.. it requires effort to maintain this bond and if you are not putting in the effort, who then is the one who seems like wanting to end it?

one more thing.. we are like 22yrs old? how mature are we to talk abt i-dun-wanna-be-your-fren anymore over such issues? i was bewildered, then angry, then disappointed, then upset, and then calmed down to decide alrite, it's not such a serious matter to blacklist you on my 'useless fren list' (not that i have one la).. it's a misunderstanding and it needs to be cleared, and then life goes on..

Today... i went shopping with jasc!!!!!!

Dragged my ass outta my place @ abt 12pm.. haha i almost couldn't make it cos i pig ma! sleep and sleep and sleep..

reached town at 1pm.. waited and waited and waited.. *smack jasc's fat ass* start shoppin' after she arrived 20mins later..

first stop to g2000! wanted to go for so bloody long le.. finally! hahaha.. we tried some pieces at taka's outlet.. decided to hop over to wisma cos the g2000 there bigger, more changing rooms.. hehz..

both of us really spent alot of time in there.. esp at the changing rooms.. not many ppl la.. nice time of the week to shop! haha dun feel stress at all wahahahaha..

haha like so old leh the color.. i wanted the skirt in black.. but the salesgirl ask me try the size first so she gave me this color.. turned out this color looks nicer la..

we went to many many places to look see look see.. and we found that we fell in love with the same guess bag leh!! hahaha jasc's funkpunk bolwer fren oso eye the same design.. ha! forgot to take a pic of it.. not in their webby oso.. hurm.. it's $150.. hahaha so expensive..

i need to remind myself i gotta save for my trip (to i dunno where yet).. wahahah

anyway.. we went to wheelock to try papillios.. then to marks and spencer where we bought some cutesy/sexy underwear.. then to the big big zara which always dun have our sizes somehow..

we tried so many clothings..

in the end we both left without buying anything.. i couldn't find my lacey black spag top ($19.90) which i saw in taka outlet.. i thought the green top ($34.90) was not as nice as the previous time i tried.. i love the shorts and blue skirt but it was too expensive for my shallow pocket.. (shorts/white skirt - $59.90, blue skirt - $89.90) i couldn't find an appropriate reason to grab that white tube dress ($99).. yada yada yada..

and so we left.. hehz..

hungry and tired from all those walking.. we went to makan at ramen ten.. at fareast..

i had mushroom ramen ($7.90)..

which tastes mediocre.. i think in monkey's standard.. it will not be edible hahah..

jasc's char siew ramen ($7.90) looks prettier..

and i'll like to assume it's tastier.. haha..

after dinner we continued shopin' at fareast.. i got myself a pair of shorts ($23.30) cos i really wasn't too happy about letting the pair at zara go.. haiz..

jasc got herself 2 tops!!! 2 tops leh!!! hahaha..

it's so fun to shop with her.. wahahaha.. talk cok try clothes makan food walk walk.. blablabla..
