Going to Taiwan on this Saturday.. Returning on next Friday.. haha.. good food good food good food.. shopping shopping shopping.. here i come!

it's always like tt.. hmmm, tho i dun like my life to be spiced up this way.. expected monkey to complain to me abt me writing only abt food and him (in the bad manner) on my blog.. then i was thinking.. happy things are always shared as soon as a phonecall or when i see whoever i wanna share it with.. unhappy things i duno how to say to type lo! and then, food ma.. got photos ma! share la! humphz..

anyhow, monkey cooked cha soba for me! haha. his first time lei.. he cooked then packed, then brought to my office for me! haha.. yummy yum yum! i dun mind having cha soba everyday for lunch.. but i think monkey minds waking up and making it every single day hehz..

went to AMK hub yest.. according to monkey, it shall be the new 'town' we'll be visiting very often.. what the hell? haiz.. although i think it's not bad la, really got lotsa shops and makan places.. plus when the cathay is ready.. oh man, i can imagine being stuck in the north/ northeast every weekend lei!

Who's the devil?

So.. monkey came to my office with a big eeyore for me.

colleagues asked why i'm not touched. commented he was very sweet. some every agreed i'm bad for thinking it was what he should've done.

The thing is they do not know what happened prior to this oh-so-sweet action.

i think it was a very bad choice personally to turn up right in front of my office door. even worse when my BIG boss came out and saw us standing outside just for less than 2 mins..

and what's with the eeyore? i love it. but it's been attached with a meaning i hate to mention. why does it have to be to say sorry? "don't want to make me sad" has been imprinted on my mind, the tone, the words, when to say.. except the action.

time and time again the same thing happened.. tv over me. it was mj over me. i conceded defeat. now tv. great! was i the devil to so excitedly wanna share my health screen experiences with you? my gosh! can't even tell u then what? find a stranger and spat all my grievances or nonsense at him/her? i told you i was tired, wanna sleep. bloody hell i'm still sick and on medication can?

it's not minor. it's pro-longed. too long in fact. enough. i'm still upset to tell the truth. but i cannot be angry. win liaoz lo. how now? hide at home and cry la?

wait. i oredi did that.

"Raffles Deluxe 2007" Package

My first health screen in 22-going-23 years.. such a detailed screen I mean.. sponsored by my company (not bad la, Raffles medical lei!) Went for it early this morning with ml.. haha it was good to have her company, if not i sure blur like sotong.. she's really nice to remind me to start fasting the previous evening, and to drink lotsa water this morning.. hehz..

initially i thought i had to postpone my health screen due to my flu, but i called and they said as long as it's not high fever or i was not too weak to get off my bed, it's alright for me to go ahead. and so i did. =)

first was registration, checking name, i/c number and other particulars.. then the nurse passed me a small container --- for urine test. half a bottle will do, collect the mid-stream, not the starting and the end. hur~ those were the exact words i heard. well, if i had no *ahem* urge to relieve, i could carry the bottle until whenever i'm ready to pee! *keke*

second stop was x-ray. i had to sign a consent form stating i'm not pregnant, then change into the purple robe they provided.. they had lockers for me to keep my stuff, cool! for guys, they'll just ask u to take off your top la. haha.. x-ray was really fast. just tie up my hair, go into the room, stick my body to da machine and breathe-in HOLD~~~ by end of 3secs, it was done!

Next up was Electrocardiogram (ECG). I entered another room after my name was called, where the nurse asked if it was my first time.. she was really kind to explain that ECG is for analysing my heart activity. All i had to do was to lie down, breathe normally and don't move. Oh, she did inform me she was going to take off my robe for some metal 'clips' to be clipped onto my chest, along with big clips for my wrists and ankles. Another colleague told me the previous day when she went there, the nurse just pulled open her robe without warning! haha.. kinda hilarious to me! Anyway the whole process only took like 10mins? Fourth test was the WORST in my very HUMBLE opinion. Blood test, which was bloody long (pun-intended). Took my height, weight, test eyesight, measured BMI and fat content yadayadayada.. This time it was a guy who kinda mumbles to himself taking my blood. My precious blood.

after a LONG LONG while...

tsk, you not enough blood. vein too small. high risk of flat veins lei.

??? (oh well..)

the guy managed to collect only 1/3 of what is required from the vein on my right arm. all the while i could feel him adjusting the needle, pulling it out and pushing it in, turning left and right, adjusting to the optimum flow. PAIN la, can?

he gave up, and told me to press on my right arm with the piece of cotton for 3mins. Barely 30secs passed, i was told to give him my left arm, which he complained still cannot find the vein..

who'd have guessed i literally exercised my left arm (flexing it up&down continuously) for 5mins, while staring at my right arm getting the or-cheh cos i had no third hand to press on the previous wound.. finally he found the 'missing' vein and the whole arduous process start all over again. minus the not enough blood.

at the end of 20~25mins, i'm done with step 4 and was being teased by the guy for having 2 plasters while all the rest had 1 only. hur~

consultation was next, with the standard medical qns on history.. checked my eyes, ears, checked my breasts for lumps, checked abdomens, pap smear(optional).. this year we've to dig our own shit for stools test. ml said last year she had her doctor dug it for her.. it was quite troublesome, i had to aim 'properly' when i shit (not to bloop into the water) so i can use the ice-cream-stick-lookalike take a teeny-weeny bit and smear it on the piece of paper they gave us. seal it, and make a trip back to clinic the next morning to deposit.

5 major steps completed. Now i'm patiently waiting for medical review next week! Hope everything's gonna be fine!!

(stares at my or-cheh) *shakes head*

p/s: i may appear laughing, but i actually am very scared of taking blood test..

What are the chances of childhood friends (and just-next-door neighbours) becoming a couple and eventually tying the knot? Very little i'd say! And I thought it's a very sweet thing to happen!

Anyhow, I thought the bride's very pretty! Alan looked very 'star' .. haha like he was going to 开个人演唱会.. hehe

well, before the dinner started, we took many many pictures of course! can't possibly post them all up here.. click here for all the photos la!
oh yeah, this's how my gong3 tao2 haircut is looking now.. no photoshop anywhere.. what u see is wat u get.. haha.. now my natural curls are coming back.. *pulls hair* *screams*

admiring the wedding album.. I've seen the smaller version back in the office.. this one's a lil different.. very very nice lei! wonder where did they bought the package from.. haha.. the couple the gowns the photo effects all so pretty! ar! i wanna take these kinda pretty pretty photos too!

oh speaking of which, yesterday (25 Mar) monkey and i went over to suntec's convention hall 402 403 to support my niece baby cheryl for her walking contest.. turned out we realised it was a family carnival.. and there were so many bridal stalls set up.. they even had a wedding gowns show at the main stage..

before we met yh and her family.. those bridal stalls ppl kept approaching us asking us the standard qns.. alamak. for a moment i thought monkey was going to use the same tactic saying "oh, she's my 姐姐" haha.. well he didn't la, and i buay tahan til i told him to stay a distance from me until we find yh..

subsequently, i 'borrowed' brandon or cheryl from time to time to avoid being approached la.. haha.. but eventually i started getting pamphlets targeted at families (w children).. *lol*

ah! sidetracked so much.. back to the wedding.. one big big grp photo before we start the dinner! the J.D. P (or used to be J.D. P) team! hahaha.. Congrats to my team leader Alan! 我真的没有讨厌你!

haha! ever since i watched hanakimi series.. i start to notice this guy.. 吴尊.. such a pretty boy! remember.. i always have soft spot for pretty boys.. hahaha.. see la, now i'm a 花痴 all over again.. even my mum likes him! she keeps telling me he's very pretty, very handsome.. haha.. my sentiments exactly!

he has the perfect built i love! not too beefy not to skinny(like monkey).. *keke*

monkey sure dun like him.. cos i keep telling him how pretty and handsome and cute and aiyoyo whatever positive adjectives you can find i've told monkey.. and his response?
“hanar hanar! enough liao hor! i ban you from buying vcds from now on!"

haha.. i've also watched 吴尊 on you tube.. all his appearance on mtv, 娱乐百分百 etc.. haha.. you can see how 'serious' i am about him wor.. i even read his blog! thanks to da for sending me the link =)

tralalala.. how can monkey stop me from buying vcds with all the yandao guys acting? haha.. IMPOSSIBLE!

i took half day leave in the afternoon today.. just to cut my hair..

haven had a proper haircut since last september.. and i'm kinda bored of my hairstyle la..

i'm alright with my new haircut la.. only looks abit like gong3 tao2.. hahaha.. think it'll be better in 1 or 2 week's time ba..

well, alot of my hair were snipped away.. only if my worries and foul mood gets snipped off too.. hur~

anyway, went over to robin's in the morning.. at 9am!! so early can? like waking up for work like tt.. hehz.. definitely won't like to miss the opportunity to visit la.. cos i wanna eat his mum's mango pudding!! simply fabulously delicious! (eh, contradicting hor).. i ate 3 puddings.. and dabao 1 home!

some played cards and mahjong.. some watched korean dvd.. it's a story abt ballroom dancers.. forgot to ask what's the name of the movie lei.. but it's very sweet~ actors and actresses are very very good dancers! made me wanna learn ballroom dancing so bad~ but monkey cannot learn with me.. alamak.. where to find partner? in my opinion gw would be a good choice.. but he's not in sg lei.. hurm..

in the evening, went over to east coast to makan dinner with monkey and his family..

where did we makan? JUMBO seafood! haha my first time there.. so suaku hor.. never eat jumbo seafood before.. haha..
monkey very lazy wan.. anywhere not reachable by car or must walk a long way inafter taking bus, he won't wanna bring me go eat.. u see only on occassion where his mum suggest and ask us along, or when his friends (who drive) suggest gg to places for makan then he wil readily say yes..
even monkey's aunt was there.. so most of the time i kept quiet.. cos i shy mar.. dun dare to talk too much.. jus eat and eat and eat.. initially too shy to take photos oso.. then i suggested monkey being the photographer..

but then hor.. cannot stand his photography skills.. wrong angle wrong distance wrong settings.. haiz.. although i not as good.. but at least i try ma! he's worse than me la.. so in the end i cannot tahan.. started taking the photos myself..

1st dish.. beancurd special ($8).. very very crispy on the outside and tender on the inside! haha.. how come it sounds like describing kfc's fried chicken? hmmm..

2nd dish.. mee goreng ($12).. first shot was the big big plate by monkey which i feel was too ugly for my blog.. so i took a second shot on my portion.. not bad.. but i think not the best among those i've tried..

sambal kangkong ($12).. very fresh.. not too salty, so good to eat without rice la.. not spicy enough though in my opinion..

chicken and mutton satay ($12).. din had much of it.. i'm not a very stay person u see..

cereal prawns! ($24).. prawns not big enough la.. according to them, it has shrunken since their previous visit.. cereal very very tasty! i kept scooping the cereals and munch and munch and munch!

yam scallop ($16).. i took the scallop (which is tasty) and gave the yam to monkey.. i dun like to eat yam.. except yamcake and crispy fried yam like in the yusheng at crystal jade!

oooooo.. this is the main point.. the reason why we went to jumbo.. chilli king crab! ($72.60 for two) with fried buns ($3.20 for eight).. i think i ate quite alot.. one pincer and one whole body! hahaha.. so nice! full liaoz.. but i jus kept eating!! wahahahahahaha...

good food week.. so fat can? can't wait for my roller class to start!

monkey had to queue for like 20mins for his turn to order lei! and it's like a weekday early evening which by right should have fewer people.. hurm..

so after the long wait plus humid weather.. monkey of cos dulan la! see the face lor~ haha..

there's an article at the left side of the stall about how tasty the laksa is.. but to me it's okie only..
this is the DELICIOUS fishball kuayteow soup la! tell u.. it's a must try.. queue 20mins oso worth it! better still, u sit and wait, someone else queue for you~ haha!

this cny is full of mahjong for me.. or the lack thereof.. been busy the past 2 nights mostly watching monkey play mj.. second nite i was too tired and fell asleep instead.. i really had enough. IWONTBEDOINGTHISKINDASHITEVERAGAIN.

gambling 3 consecutive nights. i know. should've let him be since mayb next time start work won't have time to gamble like this. somehow i feel it's just bullshit excuses la.. whatever. cny post should not be so grouchy rite? hurm..

the best time i had was second day's gathering at the usual place greenwood ave.. though i could barely keep my eyes open.. not many came ths year.. nevertheless fun catching up with cousins.. ooo and welcome pretty faith to the family!

no running with the young ones (too tired).. the moment i reached, went up to amber's room lo.. haha.. i'm as fascinated with her life and stuff as ever.. we seem to be from different walks of life.. yet from what i see.. i think i may somehow comprehend what she has in mind and how she's living her life.. no no, not that i condone.. but i simply understand..
